Volleyball player from Kazan “Zenith” Dmitry Volkov will join the Qatari team Al Rayyan, reports the team’s press service.
The player signed a short-term contract and will perform at the HH Amir Cup Season tournament, which will take place from May 4 to 17, 2024.
Volkov is 28 years old; as part of the Kazan team, the finisher became Russian champion for the 2023/2024 season. The volleyball player was part of the symbolic team of the Russian championship.
As a member of the Russian national team, Volkov won the European Championship (2017) and the Nations League twice (2018, 2019).
