Moiseeva, diver coach: “We don’t have a pessimistic mood in our team”

Russia’s diving team head coach Svetlana Moiseeva said there was no pessimistic mood in her team due to the suspension of international departures.

The Russians, by decision of the International Swimming Federation (FINA), are suspended from competitions of departures under the auspices of this organization until the end of 2022 on the background of the situation with Ukraine. On Friday, the divers completed their performance at the first stage of the Friendship Games in Kazan.

– On the one hand, the guys were tired, the second big start in a row, but on the other hand, everything went well. If we talk about the general situation that has now developed around Russian sports, they are adults, they understand everything,” Moiseeva told reporters. – They understand that they are preparing to display their strength, to show their good jumps, but so far they cannot do it. But in our team there is no pessimistic mood, everyone believes that it will end one day and that we have to be ready.
