Japanese figure skater, three-time Olympic medalist Shoma Uno announced that he had finished his professional career.
“I have decided to end my career. Thanks to everyone who supported me. I started figure skating at the age of five and continued to do it for 21 years. I am very grateful to have had a wonderful sporting career.
On May 14, I will hold a press conference in which I will announce my retirement from sports and also talk about my thoughts and future activities,” Uno wrote on the social network.
Uno is 26 years old. The Japanese won silver and bronze at the Olympic Games in individual skating, as well as silver in the team tournament. Additionally, Uno won the world championships twice, became a silver medalist twice, and won the Four Continents Championship once.
