Honored coach of the USSR in figure skating Tatyana Tarasova told she was confident in the skater’s progress Makara Ignatova after transferring to Plushenko’s Angels Academy.
Previously, the 23-year-old athlete trained under the guidance of Evgeny Rukavitsyn and Galina Kashina. On Wednesday, Ignatov announced his transfer to Plushenko’s group.
— To be honest, I have a good attitude towards Rukavitsyn and Ignatov. Apparently Rukavitsyn has too many guys now. Let’s see what happens. The transition is interesting and promising. I am sure that Plushenko, with his experience, should help Makar improve,” Tarasova told the correspondent.
Ignatov is a silver medalist at the Russian Championship, a two-time winner of the Russian Cup final and a stage of the international Challenger Nebelhorn Trophy series.
