The day before, the International Canoe Federation had deprived Russian athlete Mikhail Pavlov of access to Olympic qualification for having liked a video of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s speeches on a special operation in Ukraine. His duet with Zakhar Petrov was urgently replaced by Korovashkov and Shtyl, who were able to obtain an Olympic license.
Arkhipov believes that the attacks will continue even after receiving the Olympic license.
“It’s very difficult for athletes to work when they don’t understand what they want. And today, this crew of two canoes has a goal.
