Arsenal announced a contract extension with Jorginho. Documents for the new deal have been submitted to the Premier League for approval.
The Italian joined the Gunners in January last year. It was previously reported that Arsenal intends to activate the player’s extension clause for another season on his current contract. The Gunners then agreed a new contract until the summer of 2025, with an option to extend for another season.
This season, the Italian has played 35 matches for Arsenal in all competitions. The midfielder scored one goal and gave two assists.
Arsenal leads the Premier League with 83 points. In the next round, the team of Ukrainian Alexander Zinchenko will play Manchester United on May 12.
