The specialist expects disciplined football from both sides
Former coach of Dynamo and the Ukrainian national team Jozsef Szabo shared his opinion before the UPL 28th round match between Shakhtar and Dynamo.
“Both teams picked up good momentum towards the end of the season. Shovkovsky has proven himself very well, I’m rooting for him, he’s great, everything works out for him. But Shakhtar’s squad is still stronger; the Kiev team has a lot of young people. Especially in the center of defense and they make mistakes. However, in these difficult times, both teams are playing good football.”
“I can’t criticize Lucescu, but it seems to me that recently, when he was, everything was somehow indifferent to him – whether he won or lost. This is my opinion based on what I’ve seen of the game. There was no necessary discipline. And Shovkovsky has good game discipline, thanks to which they win a lot.”
“I follow Brazhko, he has all the data to become a great football player. He has good tackling for a defensive midfielder, vision of the field, a quality pass, an excellent shot, and insures well. This is the player who will not stay at Dynamo for long. Shakhtar have all equally strong players, especially in the midfield. Sudakov or anyone else doesn’t stand out.”
“The middle line always makes the game: good tackling, attack or counterattack, playing the ball. But the question is still what the teams’ tactics will be for this game. Shakhtar will be happy with a draw, but Dynamo only needs to win, but they are unlikely to take risks against Shakhtar.”
The match not only of the tour, but of the entire championship, will take place on May 11. Three games before the end of the season, Shakhtar are four points ahead of Dynamo and, if they win on Saturday, they will become the national champion ahead of schedule. In case of a draw, the next coronation of the Pitmen will be postponed for at least a round.
As for Dynamo, the white-blues only need a victory to maintain their chances of winning the title on Saturday.
