Victories of Germany and Switzerland
Started on Friday, May 10th 2024 Ice Hockey World Championship. On the first gaming day of the tournament, four fights took place.
Germany, silver medalist of the 2023 World Cup, won in a bright match in Group B Slovakia – 6:4. Switzerland in group A confidently beat Norway – 5:2.
Team Czech Republic, hosts of the world championship, beat in a shootout Finland – 1:0. In another match day match Sweden won USA, scoring two goals into an empty net in the last minute – 5:2.
On Saturday, May 11, the 2024 World Cup will be played by Great Britain – Canada, France – Kazakhstan, Austria – Denmark, Poland – Latvia, Norway – Czech Republic and the USA – Germany. The start of the gaming day is at 13:20 Kyiv time.
The 2024 World Cup takes place in the Czech Republic from May 10 to 26. The current world champion is the Canadian team.
