Senior coach of the Russian cross-country ski team Yuri Borodavko told that no changes were expected in the national team’s coaching staff.
Besides Borodavko, the Russian national team’s coaching staff includes Artem Zhmurko, Egor Sorin, Alexey Chernousov, Oleg Perevozchikov, Danil Akimov, Andrey Nutrikhin and Pyotr Sedov.
— None of the coaches expressed a desire to leave? Will there be any changes in the coaching staff of the Russian national team?
“There was nothing like this before.” The presidium of the Russian Ski Racing Federation approved the active groups and coaches. No change is therefore expected.
— Is the lack of changes important for the Russian team?
— Stability is important. And the result shown by the skiers suggests that we have a balanced team, covering absolutely all age categories of athletes – from boys and juniors to adults. We lead the guys trying not to lose anyone. We are all involved.
— What will be the volume of your report to the coaching council, how many pages will it include?
– (Laughs). We already had a methodological commission at the Sports Training Center of the Russian national teams. And at the coaches council we will discuss the prospects for next season; all venues for training camps, the Russian Championship and stages of the Russian Cup will be approved. It will rather be an internal council.
– On what dates will it take place?
– In Malinovka. Around June 11-12,” Borodavko told .
