Kalinina lost in the third round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Rome

The Ukrainian lost in two sets to fifth seed Maria Sakkari from Greece

Ukrainian tennis player Angelina Kalinina lost in the third round of the tournament WTA 1000 V Rome (Italy).

Angelina lost to fifth seed Maria Sakkari from Greece. The fight lasted one hour and 51 minutes.

The first game was a tense battle. Kalinina did not hold the break and did not convert three set points, after which she lost in the tiebreaker. In the second set, the Ukrainian was unable to win a single game and lost the match.

Let us remind you that Angelina started from the second round at the tournament in Rome with a match against another Ukrainian, Lesya Tsurenko. Kalinina won two games, after which Lesya was unable to continue the fight.

Let us remind you that Kalinina, paired with Dayana Yastremskaya, successfully started in doubles at a tournament in the capital of Italy. The Ukrainian duo confidently beat two “neutral” rivals in the first round.
