Athletistic/ Figure skating. Minister of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan Vladimir Leonov spoke about cooperation with Olympic champion Alina Zagitova.
The figure skater will soon open her own school in Kazan.
“We are currently selecting the coaching staff. Zagitova will supervise the work. However, for now she refused to move to Kazan,” Leonov said.
Alina Zagitova, 21, is an Olympic champion, world and European champion in women’s single skating.
Zagitova suspended her career in December 2019. The figure skater is the 2018 Olympic champion, world, European and Russian champion.
Previously, Zagitova was the host of the Ice Age show on Channel One.
