The coach received a credit of confidence from the club management
Newly minted mentor Colosa Alexander Pozdeev said that the team’s task before the end of the season is to win each of the remaining matches. The coach also revealed the details of his appointment.
“There was a conversation with management. It probably sees some changes, they like it. Almost the result that we would like, but we saw many problems that need to be corrected. This is very useful information for us. Unfortunately, we have not yet achieved positive results. However, we communicated with management and there is trust. It is very nice. There is an opportunity to try to realize oneself.”
“The vector is changing, this is a thorny path. There were no specific tasks. We have our own personal task – to win. There are big problems with this. We are trying to fix this, and in the future this is our main goal – to win, win, win.”
“The result we want to achieve next season will depend on what kind of squad we enter next season. Of course, I would like to be in the big game, and this is the fight for the eurozone. This is very ambitious and these are big words, but why not? If we set the goal to win, put maximum effort into it, understand how to do it, then the highest goals should be set.”
“For now I’m focused on every game. First it was Dynamo, then Zarya, then LNZ. We have not yet discussed the global composition of the team or goals for the next season. Such conversations have never happened before. We move from game to game. I think that at the end of the championship these questions will be relevant. Now there is LNZ, there is Minai – very cheerful, and there is Zarya.”
“I think there will be some changes. What exactly and in what volume is difficult to talk about now.”
Alexander Pozdeev recently became the full-fledged head coach of Kolos. Pozdeev was appointed acting head coach of Kolos at the end of April. He replaced Yaroslav Vishniac, who was transferred to the position of vice-president of the club.
Under the leadership of Pozdeev, Kolos played two matches in the Ukrainian championship, losing to Dynamo (0:5) and Zarya (0:1). The next match of the Kovalev team with LNZ is scheduled for May 13, starting at 15:30.
Kolos is in 12th place in the UPL. The team’s lead from the play-off zone is only three points.
