Athletistic / Olympic Games. The Australian swimming team will not be able to live in the Olympic village in Paris. Bathers will be forced to leave due to lack of accommodation.
According to the British edition of the Daily Mail, the Australians will be forced to vacate their places within 48 hours of the end of the competition. This decision was made only because the number of rooms is not provided for the entire Australian NOC delegation. Athletes from the Green Continent are understood to have been allocated 464 beds in the Olympic Village, while at least 570 Australian athletes will come to the 2024 Olympics.
We already know that Australians will come from other European cities to attend the closing ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games. In the meantime, Australian swimmers will live in Italy, England or Marseille (France).
We see that the swimmers are extremely unhappy with this development of events, but they are well aware that they cannot in any way influence this decision of the Paris Games organizing committee.
The 2024 Summer Olympics will be held in the French capital from July 26 to August 11.
