The country’s Interior Ministry gave the exact number of attempts: 23. But the ministry managed to prevent these violations.
“Thanks to the preparation and increased vigilance of the Ministry of the Interior, it was possible to prevent 23 attempts aimed at disrupting the continued holding of the Olympic events linked to the torch relay,” declared the French Minister of the ‘Interior.
The Olympic flame was delivered to France on May 8. The relay will last until July 26, when the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games will take place.
