The Ukrainian paired with the Latvian Ostapenko lost to the Italian tandem Errani – Paolini
Ukrainian tennis player Lyudmila Kichenok together with Elena Ostapenko lost in the quarterfinals of the doubles tournament WTA 1000 in Rome.
Lyudmila and Elena could not cope with the Italian duet Sara Errani – Jasmine Paolini. The rivals exchanged victories in sets, after which Sarah and Jasmine were stronger in the tiebreaker.
Let us remind you that Kichenok and Ostapenko earlier in Rome defeated the duo of Anna Bondar / Kristina Buksa (Hungary / Spain), after which they easily dealt with the tandem of Leila Fernandez / Arancha Rus (Canada / the Netherlands).
Thus, all the Ukrainians who participated in the tournament finished their performances in the Italian capital: Elina Svitolina, Dayana Yastremska, Marta Kostyuk, Lesya Tsurenko, Angelina Kalinina, Yulia Starodubtseva, who did not qualify, and Nadezhda Kichenok.
