Choreographer Murashov spoke about the new program of figure skater Savosin

Choreographer Egor Murashev told that he choreographed a free routine for figure skater Roman Savosin to music by Sergei Rachmaninov.

In the 2023/24 season, Savosin twice won silver at the stages of the Russian Grand Prix, took seventh place at the national championship and became fifth at the Spartakiad of the Strongest. In the 2022/23 season, the skater did not participate in tournaments.

— The program was set quite quickly, Roman will skate to the music of Rachmaninoff. When I listen to classical music it becomes a little more difficult for me, when I was skating myself it was difficult to do classical movements. This suited Roman very well, the man started skating incredibly well, he improved a lot over the last year. Before coming back, I saw how he trained and prepared. I can say he has grown a lot as an athlete. For him, the program will be very practical and comfortable.

He will now develop the program with the coaching team and the choreographer, still on the ice. If possible, I will come and look, maybe add something, clean it.

—Who else have you worked with before?

— A lot of guys appeared, for example Mark Lukin. I already gave him a new short film, we’re going to put one out for free, now we’re looking for music. We produce the program together with Andrei Anisimov,” Murashov told .
