Today the Miners won their 14th cup trophy, the white-blues have 13 left
Miner came out on top in terms of the number of victories Ukrainian Cupsahead of Dynamo.
Today’s victory over Vorskla (2:1) allowed the Miners to win this trophy for the 14th time in their history. The Kyiv club has 13 cup victories left, the last of which dates back to 2021.
In addition to the two indicated clubs, this trophy was won twice by Chernomorets (1992, 1994), once each by Vorskla (2009) and Tavriya (2010).
Let us remind you that the Ukrainian Cup 2023/24 was played for the first time in three seasons. In the 2021/22 season, the tournament was ended early at the 1/4 final stage due to the full-scale invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine. In the 2022/23 season, the Cup was not played due to the busy schedule of the Ukrainian championship, matches of the national team and the participation of Ukrainian clubs in European competitions.
