Stankovic became the head coach of Spartak

The famous former football player went to manage the club of the aggressor country

Serbian specialist Dejan Stankovic became the new head coach Spartak. The coach will officially start working at the club from the aggressor country on July 1.

As a footballer, Stankovic is known for his performances for Lazio and Inter, with whom he collectively won six Scudettos. As part of Nerrazzuri, the midfielder won the Champions League. Dejan played 42 matches for the Serbian national team.

As a coach, Stankovic worked with Red Star, Sampdoria and Ferencvaros. Dejan won three Serbian champion titles and one Hungarian champion title (this season).

Ferencvaros, under the leadership of Stankovic, also reached the 1/16 finals of the 2023/24 Conference League, where they lost to Olympiacos. In the Hungarian Cup final the team lost to Paks (0:2). In the last official match under the leadership of the Serb, Ferencvaros will host Ujpest on May 19.
