Canadian McIntosh sets world record in 400m individual medley

Representative of Canada Summer McIntosh set a world record in the 400 meter individual medley.

The athlete posted a result of 4 minutes 24.38 seconds during the national qualifying races for the 2024 Olympics. McIntosh swam almost a second and a half faster than his previous world record (4 minutes 25, 87 seconds), which she established in Toronto in 2023.
