Isco will miss the 2024 European Championships due to a broken leg

Previously, the Betis leader was nominated for the title of best La Liga player of the season

Betis announced a confirmed diagnosis for its leader – midfielder Isco (Francisco Roman Alarcon Suarez). The 32-year-old player suffered a diaphyseal fracture of the left fibula.

In the near future, the Seville club’s medical services will assess the need for surgical intervention.

In any case, Isco is not only guaranteed to miss the rest of the 2023/24 season, but also will not be able to play for Spain at the 2024 European Championship.

Isco joined Betis last summer and had an excellent season with them – 36 matches, 9 goals, 7 assists. The attacking midfielder was one of ten nominees (along with Ukrainian Artem Dovbik) for the award for the best player of the season in La Liga.

Betis are in seventh place in La Liga, one point behind Real Sociedad, whom they will play at home in the next round.

Euro 2024 will take place on German fields from June 14 to July 14.
