Ukrainian women’s national basketball team 3×3 lost two matches in a row in qualifying Olympics 2024 and lost her chance to compete for an Olympic license.
The final line under the Ukrainians’ hopes for success in qualifying was a defeat from Germany with a score of 7:9. Before that, in an equal fight, the blue-yellows lost to their rivals from Poland – 18:21.
The matches of the final stage of qualification, during which three licenses for the Olympic Games 2024 are played out, are taking place in Debrecen, Hungary. The Ukrainian women’s team remains to play in the third round against Tunisia (May 18), but this meeting will no longer have tournament significance for both teams.
A total of 8 women’s 3×3 basketball teams will compete at the Olympics. Previously, licenses for the women’s tournament were obtained by China, the USA, France, Azerbaijan and Australia. The 2024 Olympic Games will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11.
