Joe Cordina: I want to fight Lomachenko, I would try to rip his chin off

The IBF super welterweight champion will fight Anthony Cacace on the undercard of the Oleksandr Usyk-Tyson Fury fight.

IBF world champion in the second featherweight division Joe Cordina stated that he would like to meet the IBF and IBO lightweight champion Vasily Lomachenko.

“I grew up watching him. All my footwork and why I’m so good in the amateurs came from him. He would be a huge opportunity for me. I would like to meet Lomachenko in the ring.”

“I wouldn’t show him any respect. I would go there and try to rip his chin off. He is an incredible fighter and one of the best in history. I would like to share the ring with him. He is a great fighter, an all-time great.”

Cordina will next fight against Northern Ireland’s Anthony Cacace. The fight will take place on the undercard of the boxing show between Alexander Usik and Tyson Fury.

Lomachenko defeated Australian George Kambosos by technical knockout in his last fight. The Ukrainian won the vacant IBF lightweight belt, which was previously vacated by his previous opponent Devin Haney. Vasily also took away the IBO belt, which Kambosos owned.
