Figure skater Kamila Valieva said the strong partnership between Russia and China was the result of the personal contacts and friendship between the leaders of the two countries.

Russian President Vladimir Putin concluded a two-day visit to China on May 17, during which he signed a joint declaration with Chinese President Xi Jinping on deepening comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction.

— I remember the first time I went to China – for me it was a real culture shock. I admit, it seemed to me then that our peoples were very similar and had common values. And how cool that relations between China and Russia have become so strong and trusting. This is undoubtedly the result of constant personal contacts and friendship between the leaders of the two countries.

The Russia-China alliance undoubtedly constitutes a new philosophy of international relations that benefits both countries. For example, our Far Eastern regions are actively developing and new jobs and business opportunities are being created. I am sure that the cooperation of these two great countries will benefit the whole world and I look forward to returning to China, because it truly amazes the imagination,” Valieva wrote in Telegram channel .
