Mikhail’s fourth triumph of the season
Ukrainian hammer thrower Mikhail Kokhan won a gold medal in a competition World Athletics Continental Tour in Los Angeles (USA).
Mikhail took the lead after the second attempt. And in the third he showed the best result of the tournament – 80.33 meters. The Ukrainian was ahead of the Dutchman Denzel Comenentia and the American Daniel Howe, who were unable to overcome the 80-meter mark.
Let us remind you that earlier in Nairobi (Kenya) Kokhan showed a result of 80.76 meters, which became his best of the season. However, then this was only enough for “silver”.
The gold medal in Los Angeles was Mikhail’s fourth in all international competitions of the season. Earlier in 2024, the Ukrainian hammer thrower won victories in the French Bois d’Arcy and Cergy-Pontois, as well as in the Portuguese Leiria.
Back in July 2023, Kokhan won a license for the 2024 Olympic Games, winning an international tournament in Hungary.
