The Ukrainian boxer had a championship fight.
On the morning of May 19 in San Diego, USA, the fight for the WBO world title took place between Ukrainian Denis Berinchyk and Mexican Emmanuel Navarrete.
Denis started the fight more aggressively and faster, immediately took the initiative, but his opponent did not like it, and therefore it was in the second round that he began to respond to his attempts to deliver accurate blows. But the first quarter of the match was in the hands of the Ukrainian.

The fourth round was difficult for Berinchyk, when he fought the Mexican, but at the end of three minutes the fighters calmed down a bit. However, in each round, the fighters sometimes turn around and just start swinging their fists. At the same time, Ukrainian is often more accurate.
Berinchyk entered the championship rounds with a slight advantage and started the 10th very aggressively and confidently, but Navarrete responded with some powerful shots. In the penultimate three-minute period, Denis found himself on the floor of the ring, but only because he tripped over his opponent’s leg.
There was intense tension before the final round, as neither boxer had a clear advantage. Both threw a lot of different punches and now it looked like someone might fall, but both stood up, even though they were incredibly tired.
And then the ring announcer enters the middle of the ring and announces that DENIS BERINCHIK has become the WBO lightweight world champion!
Result of the battle Berinchik – Navarrete
Denis Berinchik – Emmanuel Navarrete 2:1 (115:113, 112:116, 116:112)
We remind you that earlier another Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usik became the absolute champion of the world in super heavyweight.
