Figure skater Yegor Rukhin told that he learned all types of quadruple jumps, and he also explained last season’s results.
On May 4, Rukhin told that he left the group of coaches Alexey Vasilevsky and Yulia Lavrenchuk and joined Alexey Chetverukhin.
— What elements do you plan to learn/improve this offseason?
— After the holidays, pre-season training will begin, this is not the time to learn anything. You will need to integrate the program with your elements. I skip the five quads. The question is how they will present themselves, in what order. Everything is in progress. I think as the season progresses there will be adjustments to the content. At the start of the season, perhaps all the elements will be easier in order to calmly get into the rhythm. And closer to important departures, we will make things more difficult. But we will discuss everything with the technical staff and decide together.
— Last season, you fell a lot during jumps. What was the problem?
“There were moments that did not allow us to show the best of ourselves. I don’t want to go into details. The nuances are purely educational in nature. This bothered me.
— Do you have any idea where you will play?
— Not yet, it will be the Moscow tournaments first. And then the federation and the coaches will decide. Wherever they tell me to go, I go. “Nothing depends on me,” Rukhin told .
Rukhin is 20 years old. He is a bronze medalist at the Russian Championship (2021). In the 2023/24 season he placed 6th and 10th during the stages of the Russian Grand Prix.
