Eighteen Brazilian swimmers will compete in the BRICS Games in Kazan, according to the Brazilian Swimming Confederation website.

The team included participants of the Tokyo Olympics Matheus Gonche, Giovanna Diamante and Natalia Almeida, as well as those who participated in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro Brandon Almeida and Joao Gomez Junior – double medalist at the world championships and triple short course relay world champion.

None of these swimmers will compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics, SwimSwam reports.

The BRICS Games will be held from June 12 to 23.
