AJ is open to suggestions.
Promoter Eddie Hearn believes that the next fight of the former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua can take place with any of the opponents. Among the possible candidates is the newly crowned absolute heavyweight champion Alexander Usik.
“He is ready to fight anyone. He would love to fight Oleksandr Usyk again, he would love to fight Tyson Fury, he would love to fight Filip Hrgovic, Daniel Dubois, Joseph Parker, Deontay Wilder. Anyone can get a fight deal.”
Hearn’s opinion about potential rivals differs from the ideas of Anthony himself, who declared his readiness for a trilogy with Oleksandr Usyk. AJ’s mentor Ben Davison expressed himself in a similar vein.
Joshua previously said that he would like to have his next fight in June, but he was offered to postpone the fight to September. Anthony has more free time until the summer, after which he will return to a full training camp.
Joshua defeated former UFC world champion Francis Ngannou in his last fight. After the fight, Eddie Hearn named Anthony the No. 1 heavyweight boxer in the world. Tyson Fury responded to these words that the real number one will be determined in his fight with Usik.
