Salnikov on motivating Russian swimmers: “If you want to be the strongest, you can become strong, even while performing at home”

President of the All-Russian Swimming Federation (RSF) Vladimir Salnikov spoke to about the motivation of Russian athletes in the absence of international competitions.

Previously, the FSM had recognized as unacceptable the criteria for admitting Russians in neutral status to international competitions.

— The motivation is quite simple: if you want to be the strongest, you can become it, even while playing at home. Chikunova and Kolesnikov showed results exceeding world records.
