Chelsea considers Brentford coach Frank among candidates for head coach position

The Blue Board of Directors is still considering options

Chelsea considers Brentford boss Thomas Frank among candidates for the position of head coach.

The Blue Board of Directors continues to internally discuss options. As well as Frank, Ipswich’s Kieran McKenna is also on the list. The candidacy of Sebastian Hoeneß from Stuttgart is highly rated, but they note that the coach is determined to continue working with the German team.

Chelsea have officially announced the termination of their contract with head coach Mauricio Pochettino by mutual consent. Along with the Argentine specialist, his assistants will also leave the club.

The 2023/24 season has been a very difficult one for the Blues. The team always suffered from a preponderance of injuries (this factor is considered one of the indirect reasons for the club’s management’s dissatisfaction with the past season), spent a long time in the middle of the table, but had a strong finish (five wins in a row) and finished sixth in the Premier League.
