Ukrainian tennis player Angelinina Kalinina continued its victorious march through the tournament bracket of the series event WTA 500 in French Strasbourg.
In the second round, the Ukrainian defeated local tennis player Fiona Ferro in three sets. The match lasted 2 hours 15 minutes.
Kalinina made a comeback from 0:2 in the first game, finishing it with a score of 6:3. But in the second set, Ferro won a mirror victory. The third set was a categorical triumph for Angelina – a victory with a dry score of 6:0.
The Ukrainian reached the quarterfinals, where her opponent will be the first racket of the tournament, Marketa Vondrousova from the Czech Republic.
Let us remind you that earlier in Strasbourg, Kalinina, also in three sets, turned out to be stronger than the “neutral” tennis player Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
