Athletistic/Figure skating. Kazakhstan has sent a request to the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) regarding the transfer of Russian figure skater Sofia Samodelkina, RIA Novosti reports. According to the source, the FFKKR will not hinder the transition of the 17-year-old athlete.
If the transfer is approved, Samodelkina, who trains at Evgeni Plushenko’s academy, will be able to compete for Kazakhstan in international tournaments starting next season. In August 2023, she obtained Kazakh citizenship.
