Canada and Switzerland also reached the semi-finals
On Thursday, May 23rd, at 2024 Ice Hockey World Championship matches took place 1/4 finals.
Canada, current world champion, beat Slovakia (6:3) and continues to defend the title. The team became another semi-finalist Switzerland, winner Germany (3:1).
Czech Republic, the host country of the world championship, minimally beat the national team USA – 1:0. Sweden won in overtime Finland – 2:1.
Canada – Sweden and Switzerland – Czech Republic will play in the 1/2 finals. The fights are scheduled for May 25. The final and the match for 3rd place will take place on May 26.
Let us remind you that the Ukrainian national team won the 2024 World Cup in Division IB and next year will play in Division IA.
