Andrey Kobzaruk won bronze, but failed to obtain an Olympic license
Ukrainian shooter Andrey Kobzaruk conquered bronze medal on European Shotgun Championship 2024which takes place in Italian Lonato.
In qualifying competitions in men’s monastery Five Ukrainian shooters took part at once: Andrey Kobzaruk, Georgy Ipatov, Ivan Loik, Maxim Piven and Nikolay Milchev. Only Kobzaruk managed to make it to the final stage, showing the third result.
In the decisive session, the Ukrainian showed the third result, scoring 41 points. Andrey lost to the German Sven Korte (52 points) and the “neutral” athlete Anatoly Semenenko.
The Kobzaruk medal became for Ukraine second in history at the Euro in competitions in the men’s skete. The first award (silver) was won by Nikolai Milchev in 1999.
The 2024 European Championship had licensing status for the Paris Olympics. Kobzaruk failed to obtain a license for the 2024 Games, which went to Korte.
