Dnepr-1 “lost” 15 points
The completed UPL championship brought several pleasant and not so pleasant results. Krivbass bronze, Zarya’s fall from third to 10th place, Rukh’s rise from 11th to sixth position, seventh place in the debut season in the LNZ elite. We analyzed how the teams’ performance changed compared to last season.
Four Biggest Losers
First of all, we note the stability of Shakhtar, which won the championship title for the second year in a row. At the same time, the Miners practically repeated their performance from the 2022/2023 season – 71 points against 72. Chernomorets and Veres remained almost at the same level in terms of points scored – minus three points compared to the 2022/2023 season. Kolos did not get four points compared to last year.
If we talk about the losers of the season, then first of all these are Zarya and Dnepr-1: minus 32 points and minus 15 points, respectively. Four clubs scored 10 or more points: Vorskla (-12), Minaj and Metalist 1925 (minus 11 each), and Alexandria (-10).
The best performance was given by Rukh and Krivbass. Compared to the 2022/2023 season, the Lviv team improved their score by 17 points, the Kryvyi Rih team by 16. Rukh rose five positions at once, Krivbass by four. Dynamo scored nine points more compared to the 2022/2023 championship.

Stability of the best snipers
Interestingly, the overall performance of the championship remained almost at the same level as last season. The teams as a whole scored 597 goals versus 587 in the 2022/2023 season. The average performance of the 2023/2024 championship was 2,488 goals per match, compared to 2,445 a year ago.
We also note the stability of the best snipers of the tournament. A year ago, Dovbik had an excellent season, becoming the UPL’s top scorer with 24 goals and repeating both achievements this season, but in Primera. At the same time, the best sniper of the Ukrainian championship, Vladislav Vanat, improved his last year’s result by only two goals, Daniil Sikan – by one, Alexey Gutsulyak – by two. Vitaly Buyalsky scored only two goals less than a year ago.
Well, you can’t ignore the successful invitations to Dnepr-1 of Alexander Filippov and to Krivbass of Oleg Kozhushko.
