Team Ukraine won ten medals at the stage 2024 World Cup in kayaking and canoeingwhich took place in the Polish city of Poznan.
Lyudmila Luzan And Anastasia Rybachok won silver in the doubles canoe at a distance of 500 m. Later, Luzan won gold in the singles at a distance of 200 m.
Valeria Tereta won two gold medals at once – at a distance of 5000 and 1000 meters in single canoe. Kayaker Alexander Zaitsev won the 200 m race.
Silver awards were won by Vitaly Vergeles and Andrey Rybachok (canoe doubles 1000 m), and Taras Mazovsky (canoe 500 m). Another canoeist, Dmitry Yanchuk, became third at a distance of 5000 m.
Tereta added bronze at the 500 m distance to her two gold medals. Zaitsev, together with Natalya Dokienko, took third place in the mixed kayak duet at 500 m.
At the first stage of the World Cup, which took place in Szeged, Hungary, the Ukrainians did not win any awards. Success at the competition in Poznan allowed him to take fourth place in the WC medal standings.
