Ukrainian tennis player Yulia Starodubtseva lost to the Spaniard Kristina Buksha in the first round Roland-Garros 2024.
The match lasted one hour and 17 minutes. In the first set there was an even fight, with the opponents performing more successfully on others’ serves. Still, Buksha managed to complete the set in her favor, after which she won the second game without much difficulty – 6:1.
Let us remind you that Starodubtseva made it into the main draw of RG-2024, having overcome three rounds of qualification. She started with a victory over compatriot Katarina Zavacka, then beat Xiaodi Yu from China and Marina Stakusic from Canada.
Thus, three Ukrainians made it to the second round of Roland Garros in the women’s singles – Dayana Yastremska, Marta Kostyuk and Elina Svitolina. Lesya Tsurenko and Angelina Kalinina lost their matches at this stage, both of them ahead of schedule.
