Athletistic / Figure skating. Russian figure skater Daniil Samsonov spoke about his training in Eteri Tutberidze’s group. The 18-year-old skater joined the honored coach of Russia before the start of the 2015/2016 season.

“I’ll be honest, I thought I wanted to leave Tutberidze’s group. They come at the moment when something makes me terribly angry or doesn’t work. However, I had no serious idea to really think about it. and I start looking for someone I know that my coaching team is always with me, will always support me, will always help me My injury and, in general, my whole period without competition proved my words – they now continue to. work with it the same way as before the injury, and they also believe in me They don’t abandon me or help me.

I am now the eldest athlete – next year will mark the 10th anniversary of my entry into Eteri Georgievna’s group. I hope it won’t be the last anniversary,” Samsonov said, as quoted by Sport24.

Daniil Samsonov missed the game for over a year due to Osgood-Schlatter disease. This disease affects the patellar tendons at the point of attachment to the tibial tuberosity, accompanied by inflammation. The pathology is common in adolescent patients, especially those who play sports professionally.

It was Eteri Tutberidze’s students who won victories in figure skating at the last two Winter Olympics. At the 2018 Games in Pyeongchang (South Korea), victory went to Kamila Valieva, and at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing (China), gold went to Anna Shcherbakova.
