Third license for blue-yellow in cycling
Ukrainian Yana Belomoina got a license for Olympic Games 2024 on a mountain bike.
Only one athlete in this event will represent the blue-yellows in Paris. The Ukrainian women’s team took 17th place, which will allow Belomoina to compete at the Games in France.
For Yana, this Olympics will be the fourth in her career. At the Games in Tokyo, the Ukrainian took eighth place.
This is the third license for Ukraine in cycling at the Olympic Games. Previously, Ukraine earned two licenses in road cycling. At the same time, in the women’s competition, one Ukrainian racer will be able to compete in two races – a group race, as well as an individual time trial.
On May 20, Ukraine officially approved its participation in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. This decision was announced at a meeting between the head of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Matvey Bedny and the President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Ukraine Vadim Gutzeit with representatives of Ukrainian and foreign media.
The 2024 Summer Olympics will be held in France from July 26 to August 11. At the competitions, 329 sets of awards will be played in 32 sports.
