Polesie will play home matches of the Conference League in Plock, Poland

The Zhytomyr team will hold training camps before the start of the season at its own base

Polesie the venue for home matches in qualifying has been decided Conference Leagues. It will be Polish Plock — sister city of Zhytomyr.

At the same time, the team does not intend to leave Ukraine before the start of the European Cup season. The general director of the club, Vladimir Zagursky, spoke about this:

“We will conduct training camps at our own base. We do not plan to travel abroad, but will wait for the draw of opponents on June 19 in the Conference League. After the draw takes place, we will understand where we will nominally start in the home match.”

At the same time, according to Zagursky, spectators will continue to be able to attend home matches of the Zhytomyr team in domestic competitions. All proceeds from ticket sales, as before, will be donated to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

We would like to remind you that Polesie, based on the results of its debut season in the Ukrainian Premier League, managed to take fifth place, beating Shakhtar (2:0) in the last round.

The team started the season under the leadership of Yuri Kalitvintsev, but Sergei Shishchenko led it to fifth place and qualification for the Conference League. In the 2024/25 championship, Polesie will be led by Imad Ashur, who previously worked at the head of the youth team of Dnepr-1.
