Previously, the Blue Garnets extended the contract with his peer Kubarsi

Barcelona officially announced the extension of the contract with the young talent – defender Hector Fort. According to the new agreement, the club’s graduate will remain in its ranks at least until the summer of 2026.

Another prodigy from La Masia signed the contract in the company of club president Joan Laporta, first vice-president Rafa Yuste, youth department director Joan Soler and sporting director Deco.

The 17-year-old flanker (right-handed, plays equally well on the left and right) made his first appearance for the Blaugran first team in December, in the 6th round of the Champions League against Antwerp (2:3). Since January 2024, Fort has been regularly involved in La Liga and King’s Cup matches. In total, he played ten matches (565 minutes) under Xavi’s leadership and scored three assists.

Let us remind you that previously the Blue Garnets re-signed until 2027 another teenage defender Pau Kubarsi (with a 500-million-dollar clause), who also made his debut for the first team in January, when he was not yet 17, and now, like his 16 -year-old teammate Lamin Yamal has a good chance of playing for the senior Spanish national team at Euro 2024.
