In 2024, Tuktamysheva will be 28 years old.
“Have I left the sport? Not yet. I don’t have that feeling yet.
Why did you take a break? Motivation lost. They stopped taking Russians to international tournaments,” Tuktamysheva said in an interview with Elena Hange on the YouTube channel. “It’s just genetics.”
Since February 2022, Russian figure skaters have been suspended from international tournaments.
Tuktamysheva is the 2015 World and European champion, 2021 World Cup silver medalist.
