Russian figure skater Elizaveta Khudaiberdieva who dances on ice with Egor Bazin, wrote in her column on that she could never perform under another flag and not hear her country’s anthem.
Khudaiberdieva and Bazin are Russian champions in the 2022/23 season. Since March 2023, they have been training in Alexander Zhulin’s group, where they left coach Denis Samokhin. The duo won silver medals at the Russian Championship and the Spartakiad of the Strongest.

It was also a great achievement for me that my partner and I completely agreed on this sentiment. And even if we are not destined to participate in competitions under the auspices of the ISU during our sports career, then this is our destiny and we must accept it with gratitude, ”Khudaiberdieva wrote in a column on the website.
