The Presidium of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation (VFV) approved the competition system for the upcoming 2024/25 season, the organization’s press service reports.
The Russian Men’s Team Volleyball Championship will take place from September 8, 2024 to May 4, 2025. The women’s championship begins on September 17 and ends on April 26, 2025.
The preliminary stage of the Russian Cup among men’s teams begins on August 22, that of women on September 5. In addition, in 2025, the volleyball calendar will undergo significant changes: the Russian Cup will be played for the first time in May.
The Russian Super Cup match between Zenit Kazan and Dynamo Moscow will take place on September 4. The final of the Women’s Super Cup, in which Dynamo-Ak Bars Kazan and Dynamo Moscow will face each other, will take place on September 11. Trophy matches take place outside the Super League.
The format of the Legends Cup was also approved, in which the best eight teams in the final standings of the Russian Championship of the 2023/24 season will participate. The top two teams from the preliminary phase groups advance to the Final Four. The competition dates for men are from August 22 to October 6, for women from August 22 to October 13.
