NAVI coach B1ad3: The next season will show a lot about this roster, whether we need changes or not

After winning the major, the team failed two tournaments in a row

Head coach of the squad Natus Vincere By CS2 Andrey “B1ad3” Gorodensky commented on the team’s poor results in recent tournaments.

“We are not in the best shape now as we were at the major. We really rely on bootcamps. Before the major we had a long bootcamp, about two weeks. We worked really hard and saw immediate improvements. We need to focus more on this. Unfortunately, the next bootcamp will be at the beginning of the next season, I think in July. We don’t have time to do this before BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2024 in London.”

“Our players are not stars. We got them from Tier 3/Tier 2. We expect them to struggle sometimes and not be super stable. We want to see who can develop into a consistent elite player. We need to focus on this: training camp is instant super-good shape. We are a team that relies more on teamwork rather than individual performances.”

“The next season will show a lot of things. After the summer, before the major in Shanghai, we will have more bootcamps. This season will reveal a lot about this roster, whether we need changes or not. Of course, if we continue to play like this, sooner or later we will have to do something.”

At the end of March, NAVI became champions of PGL Major Copenhagen, the first CS2 major in history. However, the team failed to extend its winning streak. In May, the Ukrainian organization performed unsuccessfully at ESL Pro League Season 19 (9-12 place) and Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2024 (9-12 place).

On June 12, NAVI will start at BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2024 with a match against Astralis. The tournament in London is the last one before the summer off-season.
