Florida beat Rangers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference playoffs National Hockey League (NHL) – 3:2.
The first period passed without goals, after which the teams exchanged pucks in the second. In the final 20 minutes, Florida managed to take the lead, and then consolidated the advantage with a shot into an empty goal. The Rangers pulled one goal back 50 seconds before the final siren, but were unable to save the match.
Florida took the lead in the match and is now one step away from reaching the NHL finals – 3:2. The sixth match of the series will take place at the Panthers’ home arena on the night of June 2.
Dallas and Edmonton meet in the Western Conference finals. After four matches in the series, the score is equal – 2:2.
