Norwegian skier Shur Rete announced his retirement from his professional career at the age of 35.
— 13 years in the national cross-country ski team brought me a lot. Ups, downs and an incredible amount of unforgettable experiences with my best friends. A big thank you to everyone who participated and helped make my childhood dream a reality.
There will probably be several training trips ahead, but not as active as at the professional level,” Rete wrote on the social network.
Rete won three gold medals at the 2013 and 2019 World Championships – in relay and skiathlon. The Norwegian also has three World Cup bronze medals and five World Cup victories.
