The fifth stage of the Critérium Dauphiné was neutralized based on the results of the previous one due to a massive collapse on a wet road.
All leaderboard results will be saved from the previous day. A Slovenian was notably caught in the rubble Primoz Roglic and Belgian Remco Evenepoel but they managed to avoid serious damage.
According to the race organizing committee, the stage was neutralized due to a lack of ambulances on site.
The Critérium Dauphine is one of the most prestigious weekly races and is secretly considered a “repeat” of the Tour de France. Evenepoel remains leader of the stage race, which will end on June 9.
Russian Alexander Vlasov (BORA – hansgrohe) has finished at this point. He participates in this race as Roglic’s assistant.
