Olympic champion Shishkina announced the closure of her synchronized swimming school in the Moscow region

Three-time Olympic champion Alla Shishkina announced the closure of its synchronized swimming school in Lobnya, near Moscow.

Shishkina retired after the Tokyo Olympics. She announced the school’s opening to in September 2022.

— It’s hard for me to write this, but I closed my synchronized swimming school. Two years ago I opened a synchronized swimming section named after myself in the town of Lobnya, Moscow region. It was a new sport for the town and the swimming pools were not up to standard, but then I thought they would be very suitable for the children’s initial training. And that’s what happened.

After two seasons, the fragile children have become real athletes. At the recent city swim meets, my children finished second in the youth categories. At the synchronized swimming competitions in Dolgoprudny, they collected many medals. I am very, very proud of them.

And I will continue to work in the media. Host television programs, comment on competitions, do interviews on your YouTube channel. Unfortunately, I finally realized that I was not ready to immerse myself 100% in coaching, but sport will remain in my life forever,” Shishkina wrote on her Telegram channel.

In addition to three Olympic gold medals, Shishkina has 14 world championship victories.
