Representing Cyprus, former Russian athlete Elena Kulichenko became the winner of the American Student Championship (NCAA) in high jump.
The 21-year-old reached a height of 1.97 m on his third attempt and set a record for the competition which took place in Eugene. Kulichenko shared first place with Rose Yeboah and also became the Cyprus record holder. The third result was shown by Temitope Adeshina, who lost to Kulichenko and Yeboah in the attempts.

Kulichenko has represented Cyprus since 2021, a year later she entered the University of Georgia and left to train in the United States.
